So, a wonderful friend Jen over at One Mom’s World tagged me to tell you all 7 things you may not know about me!

I am so excited about this one, because I LOVE reading these on other blogs, you really find out so much about awesome mama’s that you really may not have known!

So here goes….

7 things you may or may not know about me!

1. With my first child, I was NOT an attached mommy. We let Aubrey cry it out, she was bottle fed (breastmilk), and we did not co sleep (among other things). With Zachary, I am very attached. Still nursing (yeah he’s almost 4 – NO COMMENTS please), we co-sleep, babywear, cloth diaper and so much more – it’s the only way I will parent from now on, I have done it both ways, so to speak, and I know how beneficial “attachment parenting” really is! (Even for Aubrey, even at 8.)

2. I am single, VERY single! I have not even DATED in over 4 years. On one hand I love it, no one to tell me that I am CRAZY for parenting the way I do. But then, I miss being with some one so much, being held, cuddled, just loved for the person I am. I am VERY happy however that I made the choice to focus on my kids during the last 4 years, we all needed that! (I am ready though, anyone have a single bother? LOL)

3. I am a picture taking nut – my sister calls me the “crazy picture taking auntie”. I am, I LOVE taking pictures of my nephew, as well as my kids. I also am loving recently taking pictures of the beauty that God has provided all around us.

4. I LOVE this time of the year, Fall and Spring are my favorite seasons. Spring because everything is coming alive, and fall because I LOVE all the colors, patterns and weather!

5. I love watching House, he’s arrogant, and can be quite mean, but it’s a great show. I am also an avid watcher of “decorating shows” – not sure why, I am not a decorator, but they are neat!

6. I don’t really like living in the city. We live in a “town” with in a HUGE city – I would love to live further out…where there’s more “land” at a stretch then an acre. I love having things at my “finger tips” so to speak, though.

7. Just today I was talking with my sister (after a La Leche Meeting that we went to together) and I remembered the best single piece of advice I got when Zachary was a baby – it came from Anne, a Le Leche League Leader in Vienna (at the time, she’s since moved, I hope she knows how much she touched me!) Anyway, she said “Take what information you can use, and leave the rest.” This was liberating advice to me, I used it not only for the La Leche Meetings that I went to, but also when talking to friends, other parents, my parents and even doctors. It gave me sort of permission to listen, take in and simply leave what info I did not agree with or want!
